Hello there .... I've been absent from blogland for awhile. True to the meteo forecast from the man and woman on the street, the weather in Paris in the month of September is truly fantastic, and it's been quite a distraction to blogging. The motto here in Paris, which I've come to learn in practicality, is: quand il fait beau, on profite ! The sun is such a precious commodity here amidst all the elegant Parisian gray, that to waste a moment of it would be unthinkable. As a result, all the inhabitants take to the streets, parks & cafés to soak up every streaming ray of sunshine.
But although the glorious weather has been a deterrent to blogging, it's highly conducive to photography of all the wonder here! I've been taking lots of photos to show you all, to keep you in the Parisian mood until your next visit.
This is a shot taken on the embankment of la Seine, just at the Pont des Arts. The building is L'Institut de France, and it's the home of l'Académie Française, the somewhat notorious group who meet from time to time to decide which new words are worthy, or not, of officially becoming a part of the French language.
Alors, the sun is shining today .... !!!
A la prochaine !

Seems like we all must trudge through the summer months before we are rewarded! That is a wonderfully, dramatic sky! Looking forward to more photos ...
