While the majority of Parisians have sought out the southern sun, leaving the town's businesses; shops, cafés and restaurants, shut down, the city has, quite cleverly I think, imported an amusement park which is set up in the Jardin des Tuileries, prime real estate for tourists, to provide some entertainment for it's visitors which have come to town. Here are some photos to give you the flavor of a summer carnival, Parisian style .... alors .... Allez!

I'll have one of each please....

I spoke to these fellas after I took this picture and they are originally from Cambodia and living now in Paris. Not sure if they partook in any of the rides though ...

now there's 2 happy fellas ...

gahhhh...that looked like an awesome trip flying over Paris...

a quiet moment ...

yes, even the food stands in Paris are 'gourmand' ...

...or maybe bistro style

too much cotton candy ?

good night all ... !

Salut, ma cherie, Amusette! :-) What a colourful potpourri of an amusement park presented today on your west coast vibe! :-) It surely looks like fun with all these colourful lights and attractions. Oh, yes lets take a breathtaking flight over Paris and then chat with Cambodian monks - will make cool strangers in a photo sense, by the way :-)Thank you for taking us on an amusing walk dans le Jardin des Tuileries! :-) Hope you are having a wonderful week, dear with beautiful blue hour magic by ce soir! Privet-kak-ti de JRay et moi! Bises xoxo
dear Katrin:) oui...une grande variété de couleurs était là! There were some crazy rides there, for people much braver (and younger) than me ! One was a caged ride up to a bungy jump ... whoa! good idea about the monks! too bad the photo isn't very good..it was an attempt at a candid shot.
PKT et bises à vous deux~xoxo
