Salut! ~

Oh dear ... apologies ... I've been a bit remiss with posting again... !

The news from here is that fortunately, the weather has been really great, some hot spells and also some days which have had a decidedly automnal chill to them. The summer days are long but since the season passes so quickly, it's hard not to want to spend every waking moment out exploring!

Alors, juste un petit photo pour aujourd'hui...

The Moulin Rouge needs no introduction! I passed by as I was trying to get my bus stops straightened out and wound up taking a little tour of the Boulevard de Clichy. The Pigalle area is now rumoured to be one of the hot quartiers (ahem, being the official red light district, I guess in more ways than one!) for living and partying, and on a Friday night, the area was buzzing. Well heck, if Brangelina parties here, it must be so ! :-)

Today marks the end of the Tour de France with the final route coming down the Champs Elysée ... and the Paris Plage has begun as well... C'est la saison estivale à Paris!

Bon weekend à tous et à bientôt!

Dear T.W. Haa...it's composed of mostly groups of guys as well as lots of tourists, and I've seen it get much longer than that!

Well this is one more week of workshops for us here, and luckily the weather became cooler here too and it is so pleasant and less humid.

salut amusette! loved the moulin rouge pic. have not gotten to that part of paris in my recent visits. had an old (french) boss who said moulin rouge was "very classy entertainment". i'm not convinced yet. and as to the plage.....oh NOW it starts? we looked all over for it last month.

glad you liked the pics over chez moi! and the wishes. yes. looking grim but i will need the diversion of blogging that much more!

Dear Mlle Paradis :) merci for your kind words ...

Place de Clichy and Pigalle are sort of like the Times Square of old... a little seedy but lively and stimulating :) (I've not yet seen the newer refabbed version)

Someone (a writer) mentioned that they enjoy being @ Clichy because it's like getting a reading on the pulse of Paris: it being the first place where the influx of immigrants from any one country begins. Interesting!

And of course there's the novel by Henry Miller, "Quiet Days in Clichy"...

Hope all's well in your world & Bon Weekend!
