LES SOLDES !!!

Ok messieurs-dames get ready...

Imagine you’re in the most beautiful city in the world. The weather is clear, sunny, warm; picture perfect. You’re in one of the chicest neighborhoods on the planet, filled with boutiques galore and … you rub your eyes because you can't believe what you're seeing. No, you're not dreaming, it's true...

Everything is on sale!

That was the lucky scenario for both Parisians and tourists (et moi) this Sunday afternoon, in the Marais…and St. Germaine-des-Pres. Yes, ladies & gentlemen, les soldes have begun in France.

Twice yearly, for a month or so, there is a state-sanctioned bonanza going on. The discounting has begun, and it seems that to encourage more sales during la crise, it has gone even deeper…

So let’s faire une petite promenade and do some ‘leche-latrine’ …window shopping….

And hunt down which territory we want to stake for the best bargains.

Let the games begin!

A happy shopper dans la rue...

Oh-lalala. I see you are having fun, dear Amusette! The fashion is dynamic in Paris, so no wonder they want everything to go out to free spaces for new charming arrivals :-) But luckily they do in the right time, ma douce, hehe
Hope you found something unique for yourself, dear. Bisous xo

Dear Katrin: it was great fun to be out with my point and shoot...it's so much less conspicuous, even though so many tourists have arrived in the city by now and there are DSLR's everywhere! Of course I did do some shopping to update the wardrobe à la Parisienne! :-)

We see so many sales in the states, that we really do forget that "the sale" is a very big event in Europe! Hope you found lots of great loot!

Dear Juliana: hehee...who doesn't love a bargain! But the sales seem to be serious business here too!

Dear T.W.: there's talk that the biannual sales might be a thing of the past, as the new mini 'promotions' are more and more prevalent...

My fave, by far, is the foto de la Creation Dauphine!

Dear Sina :) Salut! thanks, it does look like a very creative spot, doesn't it? Too bad it was closed, it would be a fun spot to explore for awhile!
